- The purpose of this amendment is to include additional information for the site visit. 1. The following information is provided for the site visit: OFFERORS MAY PROPOSE WITHOUT ATTENDING THE SITE VISIT A site visit will be conducted on Friday, February 20, 2009 at 10 am. Offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. Questions WILL NOT be answered during the site visit. All questions shall be submitted in writing at the site visit or within two business days of the site visit via e-mail to Jamie.Brown@nrl.navy.mil. You are required to supply your own writing materials. Inquiries should contain the Solicitation Number (N00173-09-R-JS03) and must be addressed to the attention of Code 3230.JS, Jamie Brown. To make arrangements to attend, offerors should contact Jamie Brown via e-mail at jamie.brown@nrl.navy.mil no later than 1 pm on Wednesday, February 18, 2009. The e-mail request MUST include the following information: In the Subject Line:N00173-09-R-JS03 – Request to Attend Site Visit In the body of the message: The name of the Contractor The name of each individual requesting to attend (limit 2) The telephone number of each attending individual The social security number of each individual requesting to attend. Offerors are hereby notified that the site visit will take place at the Naval Research Laboratory, Washington, DC. Offerors who are scheduled to attend the site visit must report to the Visitor Control Center in Building 72 outside the front gate. No cameras, firearms, or alcoholic beverages are allowed on the Laboratory. All attendees MUST present a valid picture I.D. the day of the site visit in order to be granted admittance into the Naval Research Laboratory.
