Description
This proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all information received within fifteen days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, is conducting a market survey to identify sources for software that is 100% compatible with the HK Systems Logistics Software Suite of supply chain execution software applications. The Mobile District Corps of Engineers is currently designing the FY-09 Powertrain Transmission Facility (PTF) at Anniston Army Depot, AL. The PTF is a facility for overhauling transmissions in various military vehicles. As part of the project design, an RFID (Radio Frequency Information Device) based Information Technology (IT) system will be required for the PTF, to include functions for a Material Tracking and Control (MTC) system, a parts Warehouse Management System (WMS), a parts Transportation Management System (TMS), and possibly an Asset and Process Control (APC) System. The IT system software must be a Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) software suite of supply chain execution applications, fully (100%) integrated and compatible with one another, and must fully interface (100% compatibility) with existing HK Systems Logistics Software Suites of supply chain execution applications currently existing in other depot buildings. This request is not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list. It is for information only and is not a request for proposal (RFP) or announcement of a solicitation. The purpose of this Sources Sought request is to obtain sources for software, and future upgrades, fully (100%) compatible and interoperable with the existing HK Systems Logistics Software Suite of supply chain execution software. If no sources exist that can fully (100%) integrate and interface with the existing HK Systems Logistics Software Suites of supply chain execution applications currently existing at AAD, then it is the Governments intent to specify this Brand Name for use in the FY-09 Powertrain Transmission Facility (PTF) and/or other facilities. irms interested in being considered shall provide manufacturers name, product data and written statement of compatibility. The written statement of compatibility shall include necessary backup information and support documentation. A list of projects in which HK Systems Logistics Software Suite of supply chain execution software has been successfully interfaced with another product shall be provided. The list shall include the exact location of project(s) and a point of contact with phone numbers. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this synopsis nor return the data provided. The results of this synopsis will be considered to be in effect for a period of one year from the date of publication of this notice. Responses must be received fourteen (15) days after publication of this notice. Responses should be addressed to: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, Attn: Shirley West CESAM-CT-C, P.O.
