- 12 February 2009 REQUEST FOR INFORMATION/UPDATE Basis for Request: 507 ACSS/GFLC, OO-ALC in conjunction with the 558 ACSG/PK is conducting a Request for Information to help develop strategies for the Request for Proposal (RFP) slated to be released in June 2009. This request is directly related to the overall strategy of the acquisition and will be used to develop mitigation plans and possible structure to the up-coming contract. Ground Rules and Assumptions: The US Government does not intend to make award on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited herein, as defined in FAR 15.201(e). The Government requests that responses be kept to a maximum of two pages and presented in executive summary format. E-mail response to Joshua Burton, Contracting Officer, joshua.burton@hill.af.mil. No communications will be accepted through telecom or fax at this time. Formal Request: • The Government intends to have a streamlined transition or ramp-up period for this contract. The anticipated ramp up period will be a minimum of 30 days based on contract award date. Please provide input as to the ramifications or limitations that may be placed upon both the contractor and the government. If there is minimal impact please state as much. For Information Purposes: • The Government is updating industry on the Reduced Flying Initial Qualification (RFIQ) implementation that was briefed during industry day. RFIQ is currently undergoing a small group tryout, which will conclude May 2009 and will begin a large group tryout in Apr 2009. The courseware is expected to be delivered 30 Sep 2009 and will undergo revision and maintenance until 31 Mar 2010. The government expects that RFIQ will be fully implemented by 1 Apr 2010.
