Description

The U.S. Department of Commerce, Chicago Weather Forecast Office in Romeoville, IL intends to award a Purchase Order, for a base period plus 4 option years for preventive maintenance service for the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. The work to be accomplished consists of providing semi-annual (spring and fall) preventive maintenance service and quarterly deep coil cleaning for the heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning system listed herein and associated equipment and does not include labor and materials for repairs. All items listed on the "HVAC Inspection Report" provided at the beginning of each PM by the office, will be accomplished twice a year, except deep coil cleaning will be accomplished quarterly. All work shall be performed during normal business hours and the contractor shall notify the local NWS staff prior to beginning this work. 2. Location: The site of the work shall consist of three separate sites: the NWS office, the RDA facilities, and the storage building. The RDA facility and storage building may be located remotely from the office. 3. Items of Work: The work is to be performed only on the HVAC systems and Packaged Air Conditioning (PAC) equipment described on the Equipment Inventory List (included in this document). The Contractor shall: Provide all labor, tools, test instruments, etc. required to perform preventive maintenance. All materials to be replaced including, but not limited to, filters, belts, hoses, etc. shall be furnished by the Contractor. Services are tentatively to begin approximately March 9, 2009 through September 30, 2009. This is a small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this action is 238220. Small business size standard shall not to exceed $14.0M. This support service is being procured under the guidelines of FAR Part 12, Commercial Items Procedures. The solicitation can be uploaded from this website. Interested parties can request a copy of the Request for Quotation on or about February 12, 2009.
