Description
U. S. GOVERNMENT SEEKS EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR TOWER SPACE. AUBURN, ALABAMA The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) seeks expressions of interest from owners and authorized agents of existing towers. NOAA presently has a NOAA Weather Service Radio (NWSR) antenna at approximately 660 feet above ground level (AGL) on a tower off Foster Street, Auburn, AL, along with approximately 36 square feet (SF) of floor space in an adjacent structure for a NWSR transmitter; and is seeking expressions of interest from owners of other towers in and around the area of Auburn, AL for possible relocation of the antenna and equipment. The Government will consider relocation only if a move is economically advantageous. The Government will consider agency mission requirements, the cost of moving, installation of equipment, etc., when deciding whether it should relocate. Occupancy would be required by July 31, 2009 and will be for 5 to 20 years. This advertisement is not a basis for negotiation. The Government reserves the right to reject any or all expressions of interest and give consideration to properties other than those offered in response to this advertisement. AMOUNT: Position on a tower at c. 660 feet AGL for the placement of NWSR property consisting of an 8 Bay SWR antenna; plus floor area in an adjacent structure for placement of a SRS transmitter. NWSR will provide and install the equipment. LOCATION: Tower must be in or around the area of Auburn, AL. REQUIRED: Utilities, telephone, and standby power are requested as part of the rental consideration. TERM: The lease shall be for a term of 5 to 20 years. OWNERS & AGENTS: This is an expression of interest for available space, NOT an invitation to bid. Interest parties should write, e-mail or call, NOT LATER THAN February 27, 2009 to: Albert Ruiz, Realty Specialist, NOAA Real Property Management Division, 601 E 12th Street, Rm 1736, Kansas City, MO 64106, Albert.Ruiz@noaa.gov, (816)426-7842.
