- The Walla Walla District, US Army Corps of Engineers is seeking qualified members of the Small Businesses Community (Small Businesses (SB) Small Disabled Small Business (SDB) Woman Owned Small Businesses (WOSB) Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HubZones) and Section 8(a) Participants) that could fabricate and deliver four (4) identically equipped 90 Ton (81.6 Metric Ton) Link-Belt HTC 8690 Telescopic Truck Cranes (or approved equal), spare parts, set up, testing, training, manuals and two (2) Boom Dollies on or before September 1, 2009. For more specific technical specifications, please contact the POC listed on this announcement. The Seller shall be required to provide a factory authorized service technician to perform a check-out of each crane at its final destination within 2 weeks of delivery. The check-out shall include installing all wire rope on the winches and reeving the auxiliary and main hoist blocks. The Seller shall perform a functional and load test with available materials at the project site. A one (1) day orientation session shall also be provided for each crane at each project to ensure the crane operators and maintenance personnel have a good understanding of the equipment. All cranes shall be delivered FOB to their respective destinations located at four (4) separate dams in the southwest and central regions of Washington State on or before September 1, 2009. The Seller shall have the capability to take trade-in for two Link-Belt Model HTC-1055 mobile cranes as partial payment. In order to be technically qualified, a small business shall be able to provide the Telescopic Truck Cranes and Boom Dollies that meet or exceed the technical specifications and have satisfactory past performance.
