- 1Q) Specification AA-V-2737 paragraph 3.3.1 - Requires that the vault system meet the requirements for UL standard 608, and be accompanied by an underwriters laboratories test report. Are you willing to waive the test report, as this requirement would eliminate most bidders from eligibility due to the time required to buy the certification. 1A) 3.1 Qualification. The modular vault systems furnished under this specification shall be products which have been tested and have passed the qualification tests and inspections specified in section 4, and have been listed on or approved for listing on the applicable qualified products list(QPL). 2Q.) Will you be requiring the 8 x8 x 8 sample vault for testing per section 4.4.4.1? 2A) As long a the system meets the UL standard 608 requirements, no sample is required. 3Q) Will a day gate be required on the Vault door? If required please specify style These are available in three styles: 1- Standard gate 2- Issue Port gate 3- Dutch Style gate 3A) CHOICE 2. EXPANDED METAL DAY GATE WITH ISSUE PORT ACCESS AND SELF CLOSING DEVICE 4Q) There is a discrepancy between what requirements are in Specification AA-V-2737 as far as what type materials used (either concrete or lightweight material). What type of material is correct? 4A) Lightweight materials. 5Q) What type of finished vault product are you looking for? Does it need to be a basic vault structure or does it need to be completely finished inside and out with sheetrock, HVAC etc... 5A) Basic vault structure and door with penetrations as shown on drawings. 6Q) How many wall penetrations are required and where should they be located? 6A) Provide the three 1 inch electrical conduits in the door header as noted the specs and two additional 1 inch conduits. Install the additional conduits, one on each side of the door opening, 1 foot from the door jam and 1 foot down from the ceiling. 7Q) What dimensions are needed for the HVAC box? Can it deviate from the required 8x8 specs? Maybe 4x16? 7A) Provide 4 HVAC (Utility Panel) openings. Place the openings as shown on the drawings, with the edge of the opening 1 foot from the side of the of the vault and 6 inches from the ceiling. Opening may be no more than 64 square inches. Opening can not be less than 4 inches horizontally. 8Q) Where should the access keyboard be located? Should it be inside or outside the vault? 8A) Keypad will be mounted on the inside of the vault. 9Q) What is the amount of time for delivery after contract award? Could it be extended past 45 days? Please provide a specific amount of days. 9A) REQUIRED DELIVERY DATE IS 120 DAYS AFTER DATE OF CONTRACT AWARD 10Q) Does the vault need to be five or six sided? Does it matter? 10A) 6 sides. 11Q) Does the vault need to be mobile, as it may have to be moved someday? 11A) Vault system must be mobile.
