Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake, CA.is seeking sources for one commercially available high resolution color CCD digital microscope and associated lenses to provide for sample viewing for a minimum of 1 to 5000 times magnification. The microscope will be used for failure analysis investigations for the NAWCWD Materials Engineering Division. Sources are sought that can provide a CCD digital microscope system with the following minimum requirements. Microscope System Requirements are as follows: 2 Megapixel minimum color CCD; selectable resolution of 30 megapixels minimum; shall include a monitor with the ability to display real-time images. Monitor shall be 15 inches minimum; microscope system shall be able to be controlled with an external keyboard and mouse; camera shall have a progressive scan and the ability to control the shutter automatically and manually (ranging from 1/15 to 1/5000 minimum); system shall include an internal light source with a minimum wattage of 60W ; still images must be able to be captured in TIFF and JPG formats; video images must be able to be captured in AVI format;microscope system shall have a minimum of 160GB of hard disk sp! ace; files shall be able to be output on CD-R and via USB connection; System must operate on 110V AC power. Lens Requirements are as follows: lenses must provide for complete viewing magnification range from 1X to 5000X or greater; system shall include a macro lens with the ability to view 1X to 50X minimum, with a working distance of 3 inches minimum at maximum magnification; lens shall have an optical depth of field of 0.1 inch minimum at maximum magnification; system shall include a mid-range zoom lens with the ability to view 50X to 400X minimum, with a working distance of 2 inches minimum at maximum magnification; lens shall have an optical depth of field of 0.1 inch minimum at 50X magnification and 0.002 inches minimum at 400X. System shall include a high resolution zoom lens with the ability to view up to 5000X minimum; all magnifications must be equivalent to what is viewed on a maximum of a 15-inch monitor; macro and mid-range lenses must be capable of being used! both in and out of stand; high resolution zoom lens must be capable of being used in a stand with automatic z-axis movement. Additional Requirements of the high resolution color CCD digital microscope system are as follows: System must include two stands, both with a stage with x-y axis motion.; sample stage shall have a minimum travel of 3 inches in both the x and y directions; stage size shall be a minimum of 3 inches in both the x and y direction; one stand for viewing at low magnifications with the ability to adjust the observation angle of the image up to 45 degrees minimum, one stand for viewing at high magnifications with automatic z-axis motion; the z-axis motor must have a resolution of 0.05 microns minimum with automatic focus and height measurement; system must include the ability to perform 3D profile measurements; system must be able to create a 3D profile from automatically captured images and calculated height data; system must be able to provide 3D images in both raw and topographic (colors indicate height differences) modes;! system must have the ability to provide automatic depth of field compensation for images with high magnification lens; system must be able to create one focused image from several images at various focal points. System must have the ability to make measurements on a 2D image including distance between two points, radius of a circle, and angle measurements minimum; system must have the ability to attach an additional monitor. Delivery Requirements are as follows: delivery of system as described above; system installation; operation and maintenance manuals; on-site operators training for a group of 10 NAWCWD employees, minimum of half day; cases for all lenses. Any firm believing that they can provide the high resolution color CCD digital microscope system described above may submit a written response to be received by the Contract Specialist no later than 14 days after the date of publication of this notice. It must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive withou! t compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the product and without causing programmatic hardship.
