Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The 90th Contracting Squadron, F. E. Warren AFB, WY, is seeking information on potential firms qualified to provide for 4,000 each ABU Extreme Cold Weather Parkas and 4,000 each ABU Extreme Cold Weather Trousers. SUPPLEMENTAL EQUIPMENT ITEM 0001: 2,000 each Long Unisex Parkas, ABU Pattern (four color, Air Force Digitized Tiger Stripe) with Spectral Reflectance, Type N-3B specifications or better. SUPPLEMENTAL EQUIPMENT ITEM 0002: 2,000 each, Short Unisex Parkas, ABU Pattern (four color, Air Force Digitized Tiger Stripe) with Spectral Reflectance, Type N-2B specifications or better. SUPPLEMENTAL EQUIPMENT ITEM 0003: 4,000 each, Extreme Cold Weather Trousers, ABU Pattern (four color, Air Force Digitized Tiger Stripe) with Spectral Reflectance, Type F-1B specifications or better. Extreme Cold Weather Parkas must be water-resistant outerwear garments, windproof, with attached fur-lined hoods, utilizing the Type N-2B specifications for the short parkas and the Type N-3B specifications for the long parkas or better. Extreme Cold Weather Trousers will be water-resistant outerwear garments, windproof, utilizing F-1B specifications or better. Air Force Digitized Tiger Stripe (AFDTS) pattern and colors to include proper Spectral Reflectance requirements are required for all. There is potential for more parkas and trousers on this contract. Deliveries will be FOB destination to F.E. Warren AFB in Wyoming, Minot AFB in North Dakota, and Malmstrom AFB in Montana no later than 15 September 2009. Parkas and Trousers must be compliant with the Berry Amendment (100 percent of the cost of materials made, fabricated, and purchased must be made in the USA and 100 percent of the labor must be American). This requirement may be considered for a set-aside under a small business set-aside program. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code proposed for the requirement is 315222. The size standard for NAICS 315222 is 500 employees. The government is interested in all small businesses including 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses that are interested in performing this requirement. The government requests interested parties submit a brief description of their company's business size (i.e. annual revenues and employee size), business status (i.e. 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zone, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Small Business) anticipated teaming arrangements, and a description of similar services offered to the government and to commercial customers. Any responses involving teaming agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners. Responses to this notice will assist the government in identifying potential sources and determining if a set-aside of the solicitation is appropriate. Responses must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time on 20 February 2009 to be considered.
