- Description
- JOINT SERVICE/MISSILE DEFENSE AGENCY (MDA)/INDUSTRY SMALL BUSINESS INNOVATION RESEARCH (SBIR) COMMERCIALIZATION PILOT PROGRAM (CPP) TECHNOLOGY INTERCHANGE WORKSHOPS. This innovative plan involves conducting multiple Interchange Workshops at major contractor facilities between June - December 2009. Interested companies must be major contractors by meeting the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS 31.205-18(a) (iii) definition of a major contractor, http://farsite.hill.af.mil/reghtml/regs/far2afmcfars/fardfars/dfars/dfars231.htm#P71_2101 or the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) criteria of major contractor (Any contractor that had $90 million or more in annual auditable costs for the prior fiscal year). Like other Air Force SBIR CPP Workshops, each of these events will include a short plenary followed by the opportunity for small businesses to have one-on-one sessions with the host major contractor and participation DOD components. Small business participation is by invitation only. ANNOUNCEMENT RESPONSE: Major contractors interested in participating in this activity must contact the Government SBIR CPP POC: Mr. Richard Flake, 937-255-0706, richard.flake@wpafb.af.mil within 20 business days of the publication of this announcement with a request to host one of the planned workshops. Selection of major contractor hosts will be in a "lottery" or random selection approach. The government will act as an "honest broker" by inviting small businesses that major contractors select to meet. This announcement is an expression of interest only and does not obligate the government in any way. Contractor response to this announcement is voluntary and does not affect any future acquisitions. RESTRICTIONS: All participating companies must be a U.S. Defense Company to partake in these events. In order to attend, the attendee must be either a DOD employee or DOD contractor with a valid DD Form 2345, Militarily Critical Technical Data Agreement. LIMITATIONS: Due to resource constraints and from the expected number of major contractor responses, the Government anticipates selecting a subset from the number of responding companies to participate in these activities.
