Description
QUESTIONS AND GOVERNMENT RESPONSES: The Contracting Officer received the following questions related to DJMS-09-Q-0016. Government responses are provided below. As a result, the due date for receipt of quotes IS NOT extended. QUESTION 1: What are the specifications for the trailer that the power unit will be mounted on? GOVERNMENT RESPONSE TO QUESTION 1: The specifications are: Length – Maximum114”, Width– Maximum 68”, Height – Maximum 66”, Ground Clearance – Minimum 9”, Fifth Wheel Turntable Steering Brakes – Hand/Lever Activated QUESTION 2: The solicitation specifies that the unit must be equipped with replacement filters (Air, fuel and oil) but does not specify a quantity. Are we to assume, and price a single set of replacement filters for the unit or are more required? GOVERNMENT RESPONSE TO QUESTION 2: A single set of replacement filters is required. The fuel filter must be a lubricity type. QUESTION 3: Cable extensions are requested, i.e. A/C 90KvA 100 foot cable extension and DC 50 foot cable extensions. Are these in addition to the 50 Foot A/C and DC cables that will be provided as a part of the power unit? The way we read this, you want to be able to extend the AC cable to reach 150 feet and the DC cable to reach 100 feet. Is this accurate? GOVERNMENT RESPONSE TO QUESTION 3: No, the AC cable must be a total of at least 100 feet. This may require providing another cable in addition to the standard cable provided with the equipment. The DC cable must total 50 feet which is the upper limit to avoid power loss. QUESTION 4: 400Hz output characteristics and specification? GOVERNMENT RESPONSE TO QUESTION 4: 400Hz output characteristics and specifications are 60 kVA, 3 Phase, 4 Wire, 115/200 Volt Wye Continuous QUESTION 5: What are the 28.5vdc transformer-rectifier unit rating and characteristics? GOVERNMENT RESPONSE TO QUESTION 5: Rating and characteristics are a minimum 600 A Continuous, 2000 A Peak QUESTION 6: Is there any preference for the EPA Tier III diesel engine, e.g., Cummins, Isuzu, etc? GOVERNMENT RESPONSE TO QUESTION 6: It appears the Cummins engine meets the specifications but we have no preference.
