- Solicitation package will be issued on or about February 20, 2009, and the response time shall be approximately 30 days. Paper copies will not be issued and telephone or fax requests for this solicitation will not be accepted. Description: 8(a) SetAside. Project title: REPLACE CORRODED ELECTRICAL POWER LINES, Cottonwood Visitor Center, Joshua Tree National Park, California, 92277. (Southern California between I-10 and Hwy 62; headquarters in Twentynine Palms, CA. The south entrance at Cottonwood Spring, which lies 25 miles east of Indio, can be approached from the east or west, also via Interstate 10.) Solicitation Number Q8335090017. The National Park Service requires a firm, fixed price quote on the replacement of 3700LF of corroded direct burial aluminum electric line from the Photovoltaic inverter room to the Cottonwood Visitor Center area with 4 stranded #4/0 (or equivalent to existing wire) copper wiring encased in 4" PVC piping. Please see solicitation for specific description of services. Cost to include all technical expertise, labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals necessary to complete the work. The NAICS code for this project is 237130, and the size standard is $33.5 million. Estimated price range for this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. This project is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. This project will be awarded under a single firm-fixed price contract. The period of performance will be 60 calendar days from issuance of notice to proceed. This solicitation is an 8(a) setaside. Quotes will be evaluated based on quality (past performance, experience) and price. Quality is equal to price.
