- SOURCES SOUGHT FOR UNITED STATES AIR FORCE (USAF) METAL NAME TAGS The Lackland AFB Contracting Squadron, 37 CONS/LGCBB, is contemplating the acquisition of USAF metal name tags for wear on the USAF service dress uniform. The requirement includes the production/manufacture of the metal name tags, and the last name of the requisite personnel shall be engraved on the delivered name tags. The North American Standard Industry Classification System (NAICS) code anticipated for this acquisition is 332999, the small business size standard is 500 employees, and the Federal Supply Class Code 8455 - Badges and Insignia - applies. The government is also contemplating setting aside the requirement for 100% small business participation. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to query the market for potential interested, capable, responsible, and qualified commercial small business offerors that may perform the stated requirement. The government is interested in collecting market data/information in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10, from potential sources that have the capability to manufacture and/or produce USAF metal name tags that are in compliance with The Institute of Heraldry's (TIOH) manufacturing standards and certifications for the production of the USAF metal name tags. Interested and/or potential small business offerors are requested and encouraged to submit responses to the attached document, Market Survey/Questionnaire, to Mary Esther Castillo at fax number 210-671-1199 or email at mary.castillo@lackland.af.mil. Interested sources should submit their responses not later than 3:00 p.m. central standard time (CST) on 10 Feb 2009.
