Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT MARKET SURVEY. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. REQUESTS FOR A SOLICITATION WILL NOT RECEIVE A RESPONSE. Any information submitted by respondents to this synopsis is strictly voluntary. This market survey does not constitute a Request for Proposals (RFP) or a request for sealed bids (IFB), nor does its issuance restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will neither award a contract solely on the basis of this notice, nor pay respondents for any information that they submit in response to this Sources Sought request. The United States Army CECOM LCMC is conducting this sources sought market survey to determine price and availability from potential sources capable of fulfilling a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) requirement as follows. This scope of work is to provide equipment and training for its command control and (C3) system. This includes cabling packages satisfied with military specification. Vendor shall provide required technical support to integrate the following cables with the existing communications network. This box is similar to a circuit breaker box, but used for cable connection to a building. Direct Buried under ground network cables PE insulated, Petroleum jelly filled double steel tape armored. PE sheathed (Galvanized steel tape foam skin PE insulated, armored). Twin type, jelly filled, two side coated aluminum screened. Galvanized steel tape armored. Thickness of each tape is 0.2 mm (10-400 pairs) & 0.5 mm (500-1800 pairs). 2. Striding of 10 pairs & 100 pairs for cables of more than 100 Pairs. 3. Maximum average mutual capacitance 55nf-km. 4. Maximum attenuation at 800HZ and 20c degrees. 6. Loop resistance at 20c degrees in direct current. 7. Insulation resistance 5000 M& -km (lowest value). 8. Drop point of jelly (85c degrees). 9. Pure copper. 10. Circular manufacture. 11. Homogeneous insulation. 12. It is necessary that the cables have these specifications: IEC (708-1,708-2, 28,189,304,344,811) ISO (1460, 6892, 9002) 13. Marking of the cables -Number of pairs and conductor diameter. -Sequentially numbered length marking at each meter interval. -Date of manufacture. 14. Spare pairs - Spare pairs shall be located with the units. 15. Each quantity deliver in the site must including testing list. 16. Packing -Weight of the drum. -Gross weight (cable) -Size of the cable. -Kind of the cable. -Length of the cable. The ends of the cable show the raw of the direction of lying. Seal the end of cable by heat shrinkable cover. Spare parts and Accessories Level maintenance is required as well as installation accessories. The vendor shall provide the required testing tools and equipment necessary to conduct the required maintenance process. Warranty Contractor shall provide 2 years of warranty (from the date of delivery to the site) Operator Training Vendor will be required to train 12 Students (factory training) for an 80 hour period of installation and management of the cables. All training materials (slides and handouts) will be translated into Arabic. The vendor will be required to provide a translation during training. Each student will be provided with an Arabic manual. Shipment-Delivery Shipment of equipment to country shall not exceed 120 days of contract award. Vendor shall provide a delivery limited time schedule before the delivery. The ultimate delivery point for these materials will be in Al-Tadjii national depot (Iraq), through UM QASER port. Contract code should be fixed on packages to save time to determine ownership of such material. This equipment is being used extensively by countries with forces that are deploying to drug interdiction programs and the Global War on Terror.
