Description
FED BIZ OPPS PREP:PRESOLICITATION NOTICE ENTRY FORM Submission Date: 02/04/2009Response Date: 03/24/2009 Classification: Z -CONSTRUCTION. Solicitation: Presolicitation Notice Subject: Relocate Steam Tunnel, at the VA Medical Center Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Description The Department of Veterans Affairs, Milwaukee Wisconsin will be soliciting a construction project that shall include but not be limited to the substantial demolition and removal of existing structures, and furnish labor, materials and perform work for New Tunnel Design. The project involves construction of a new Steam Tunnel from the intersection of North Washington and Hines Blvd through lawn areas, roads, parking lots, and other site areas to Building 111 Main Hospital. Work includes: site work, excavation, demolition, cast in place and precast concrete, metal fabrication, painting, plumbing, mechanical piping, electrical power and signal, site work utilities and asbestos abatement. The estimated construction cost is between $2M and $5M. The contract duration is 210 calendar days. The estimated award date of the contract is March 2009. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220, which has a size standard of $33.5M in average annual receipts over the past three years. This project is a 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Award is subject to availablility of funds. This solicitation will be posted, except for drawings and specifications at the Department of Veterans Affairs Business Opportunities System (BOS) website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov.
