Description
The NAICS Code is 611430. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD), Port Hueneme, California intends to issue a Firm Priced Plus Fixed Fee Order on a sole source basis to BAE Systems, Armament Systems Division, 163 Rochester Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40214-2683, under Basic Ordering Agreement Number N00024-07-G-5438. The Contractor shall develop and deliver a MK 45 Technical Enhancement Training (TET) course of instructions consisting of two (2) one-week courses designed to enhance the maintenance abilities of MK 45 NEC 0879 and NEC 0880 Gunners Mates along with civilian technical support, Navy shipyard and Allied Naval personnel. The course shall provide advanced maintenance and troubleshooting techniques in support of MK 45 Mod 2 Guns. The course of instruction will be divided into a one-week course detailing advanced MK 45 Mod 2 Electrical/Electronic Systems Maintenance and a one-week course detailing MK 45 Mod 2 Mechanical/Hydraulic Systems! Maintenance. These courses shall be built to US Navy NAVEDTRA 130-135 series standards using the AIM II Instructor Led Training (ILT) toolset. BAE Systems is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for the MK 45 MOD 2 Guns. The OEM is the only current source for training and education on the system since no formal Navy or Coast Guard course currently exists. The OEM has unique expertise and instructors qualified to teach operation, maintenance and corrective actions on the gun weapon system. The MK TET training is required to train electronic maintenance and hydraulic systems maintenance for the MK 45 Mod 2 Guns. Notes 22 & 26 apply.
