- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for a High Precision Video Coordinate Measuring System.This requirement has the following specifications:-High-resolution color video camera with 768 x 494 array;-Auto-calibrating 12:1 programmable zoom lens with 25 calibrated positions;-LED back light;-All white LED lighting including back light, eight sector/eight ring light, andcoaxial (TTL) surface illuminator;-3.0 GHz Pentium 4 with 1 GB RAM, 80 GB hard drive, DVD-RW drive, on board 10/100 LAN,Microsoft Windows XP Professional, 1.44 MB floppy drive, USB 2.0, serial, and parallelports;-Measurement software with functions for general purpose dimensional measurement, easy touse graphic interface, and multisensory and rotary axis support with full 3D geometricfunctionality and multi-sensor support. The 3D features must include cylinders, cones,spheres, planes, intersections, relationships, centroid, and advanced search functions;-Ability to display part models in wireframe or solid views and capabilities to zoom,rotate and pan;-A 3D datum environment with leveling, rotation, and origin definition;-Full field of view image processing with tools for arc, circle, line, edge trace,minimum point, maximum point, average point, centroid, and autofocus.Ability toautomatically optimize algorithms from the image characteristics;-Full field of view edge analysis for minimum point, maximum point, average point, arc,circle, line, edge trace, centroid, and focus. Ability to automatically optimizealgorithms from the unique features of each edge;-Autofocus ;-Capable of using multiple sensors including laser, microprobe and touch probe typesensors;-Calibrated, computer generated targets for the alignment of features and edges to theoptical centerline;-Precision mechanical bearing XYZ stage with DC servo motor drives, three-axis joystickcontroller and hand controller;-Rigid cast support structure;-0.00002" (0.5 m) resolution scales;-Hardened worktable with fixturing holes and removable stage glass;-Auto-calibrating 12:1 programmable zoom lens with 25 calibrated positions;-12 x 12 x 10" (XYZ) (300mm x 300mm x 250 mm) travel;-3x3 Granite Machine Table; -LED grid projector;-Any required adaptors, probes, styli, interfaces, modules, attachments, lenses,calibration equipment, hardware, software etc. that would prevent full functionality ofthe aforementioned equipment shall be included in the vendor quote.This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation,which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and awritten solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQsystem to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may beaccessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=. Theinformation required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. Interested organizations may submit their quotes, capabilities, and qualifications toperform the effort in writing to Jasmine.N.Jett@nasa.gov no later than 4:30 PM on02/19/2009 Eastern Time. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing toJasmine.N.Jett@nasa.gov no later than 4:30 PM on 02/14/2009 Eastern Time. It is thequoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any).Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice, theon-line RFQ and amendments (if any).
