Description
The contractor shall furnish all depot level labor, facilities, tools, test equipment, and material to overhaul the Head Rotary Wing AH-64. The Input NSN/Part Numbers are: 1615-01-306-6948/7-311411003-611; 1615-01-306-6948/7-311411003-613; 1615-306-6948/7-311411003-619; 1615-01-461-6127/7-311411003-621; and 1615-01-512-0889/7-311411003-625. Output NSN/Part Number is: 1615-01-512-0889/7-311411003-625. The proposed contractual action will be a five-year, firm fixed price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract, with a minimum quantity of 40 each, and maximum quantity of 432 each. The maximum quantity includes a 20 percent Foreign Military Sales quantity of 72 each. The Government's required output schedule is 10 each per month commencing 90 days after award. This is a Critical Safety Item (CSI) and as such requires overhaul from an approved source IAW DFAR 209.270-3. The maintenance and overhaul shall be in accordance with the Depot Maintenance Work Requirement (DMWR) 1-1615-312 and all applicable Maintenance Engineering Orders (MEOs. Authority cited is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsbile source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement. The approved sources are McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Company MDHC, Boeing Subsidiary, Mesa, AZ (CAGE 8V613); and SPX Fenn Corporation, Newington, CT (CAGE 82001. Firms that can perform the above effort are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for this or future solicitations by submitting documentation in accordance with the Standardized Aviation and Missile Source Approval Request (SAMSAR) procedures. These procedures are outlined at the following website: http://www.redstone.army.mil/cmo/. All responsible sources may submit an offer that may be considered by the agency. There will be no telephone or email requests for proposal accepted. Request will be by data fax to (256) 313-8194 or mailed to, ATTN: CCAM-AL-M, Juanita Vance, Contract Specialist. This requirement is currently unfunded. Award will be withheld pending receipt of sufficient funds. The closing date annoted is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the date of release of the solicitation; however, the solicitation will not close prior to the closing date stated above.
