- This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website located at http://www.fbo.gov, the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) website located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/, and the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition website located at http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm. FBO is the primary point of entry to be used when access to synopses and solicitations from the World Wide Web is required. However, the NECO webpage as well as the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Acquisition webpage serve as alternatives if the FBO website is unavailable. The solicitation will be for a 5-year, Firm-Fixed priced (FFP), Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for.300 Winchester Magnum ammunition, match grade, MK 248 Mod 1 (AB43) manufactured in accordance with NSWC specification DS/JXNN/C08/1604 and contract data requirements list (CDRLs DD1423). Maximum quantity, 80,100 boxes. Delivery of minimum quantity, 117 boxes (480 rounds per box) is required F.O.B. NSWC Crane 47522 within 60 days after award. Inspection and acceptance will be at source by a Government representative. Inspection and acceptance shall be at source by a Government representative.This is a full and open competition acquisition and all responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered. The final contract award decision will be based upon past performance and price evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. The Government intends to award to the responsible contractor whose offer to the Government is the best value considering past performance and price related factors. Offers that are non-compliant with any material requirement of this solicitation may be rejected without further consideration for award. This will be a Commercial Acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12. The solicitation will be available on or about February 6, 2009 at the following address: http://www.crane.navy.mil/acquisition/homepage.htm.All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the Agency. This solicitation will be available to download via WWW on the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division homepage at www.crane.navy.mil. RFPs are in portable document format (PDF).
