Description
The Contractor shall provide a comprehensive occupational medical examination program for permanent and temporary employees, both applicant and incumbent, meeting the requirements found in the Director's Order 57 and Reference Manual 57A (DO/RM 57A). The scope of work under this contract will be for a base year with four 1-year option periods. These services will be performed nationwide. The contractor shall provide the necessary facilities, staff, materials and equipment to administer an all inclusive medical examination program, and when requested, assist the National Park Service Medical Standards Program Coordinator (MSPC) in various program elements (e.g. medical documentation, data reports, etc). The general medical and occupational lhistory review and general physical examination provide the basis for the medical determination/status of applicants or incumbents to perform the essential functions of arduous duty and disclose any health issues that may prevent the effective performance of official duties. The Contractor may serve as a consultant to the NPS when requested by the MSPC, and to a Medical Review Board. The Medical Review Official (MRO) may also be requested by the MSPC to provide his/her services in the mitigation of court hearings regarding the medical suitability of Appellants.
