Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to negotiate a sole source Firm Fixed Price contract with Sierra Nevada Corporation, Sparks, Nevada, for the production of a Radar Control Group Field Change Kit (00470000-01 Rev B) to be installed in the AN/SPN-46(V)3 Automatic Carrier Landing System (ACLS). This field Change Kit includes one (1) AN/SPN-46(V)3 Block I Unit 19, one (1) Pedestal Modification Kit, one (1) Maintenance Assist Modules (MAM) set, and technical data. Delivery is to be approximately ten (10) months after contract award. Total contract price is estimated at $1.6M. Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) is the sole developer of the Radar Control Group Field Change Kit which is a required interface with the ACLS system. SNC is the only known source with the technical expertise and proprietary data necessary to meet this requirement, pursuant to Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1).
