- Additional Questions: Describe the site map generation requirement. Where will the generated XML site map be used in the context of PTO use case? Answer: The Web CMS must be capable of generating an XML sitemap according to the following protocol: http://www.sitemaps.org/protocol.php. This document also specifies methods for publishing/posting the site maps for search engines. “The list of meta tags in the centralized source may change over time and must be trigger an update in all pages” - What is the centralized source and what is included in all pages? Answer: The meta tags in each page will be generated from an parameterized include file or module that is centrally managed. The tags on each page would be populated with default data specific to the page that corresponds to appropriate parameters in the central file/module. If an additional meta tag parameter is added to the central file/module that new tag would be rendered on all pages, and populated with the default values indicated by the associated parameter (if any) in the central file/module. Explain “Notify web content owner via email of appropriate records related action…” Which application is triggering the email and where are the email address being managed ? Answer: The email would be generated by the Web CMS work flow. The email address of each system user would be part of their profile. LDAP would likely be used for user look-up. The USPTO has our software. Does that make any difference? Are you able to re-deploy that product for this project? Answer: If the version USPTO purchased is capable of meeting the requirements in the RFI, please indicate that in your response for each requirement in the RFI. In your cost proposal, indicate which items USPTO already owns (obviously, this would decrease the acquisition cost to USPTO). If you would like to prepare/recommend a separate response for a more recent version of the software (if any) that better satisfies the requirements in the RFI, please do so.
