Description
Sole Source. The United States Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Tinius Olsen, 1065 Easton Road, Horsham, PA 19044-8009. The NACIS code is 334519 with a small business size of 500 employees. This contract will be for the purchase of one (1) part number 03070042SP which is equipped as follows: *Model 602 Display Super L 602 Servo High Capacity Retrofit System (as described in bulletin 117E) to replace existing console.* Included will be a strain gage pressure transducer and zero compensator. This system consists of, a high speed serial port for data transmission, a variable sample break function, a keypad functionality, automatic zero position controls, hydraulic power unit, a console, a hard resolution encoder, a test navigator control system, and calibration code. The installation and service (P/N SRVTOR) for retrofits will be installed by Tinius Olsen. Tinius Olsen is the OEM of the existing system and is the only company with compatible components and proprietary technology necessary for the retrofitting of the existing system in order to extend the useful life of the machine. Award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements or submit proposals. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these services, then you must respond by 3rd of Feb 2009 by 5:00 PM MST to me in writing with schematics and technical documentation explaining your ability to produce competitive equipment retaining the same size form fit and function of the above material and installation. You must reference the number W81R8T9013RM03 in any correspondence regarding this requirement. Email your response to the contact listed below. In order to protect proprietary information and prevent the unintentional releasing of guarded information all interested firms must conduct their own research regarding the specifications of the above listed item. Included are numbered note 22 with the exception that the time period for the receipt of proposals for consideration is 7 days instead of 45 days.
