Description
Then National Institute of Aging, IRP, intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive basis to Denis Muller, 4401 Blakely Ave., Baltimore, MD 21236-2433 to perform duties associated with Baltimore Longitudinal Study of Aging (BLSA). The duties to be performed for this service contract include, but are not limited to the following; analyze data from the BLSA and other studies as directed by the BLSA Director. Gather code and clean data from the Baltimore Longitudinal Study of Aging as directed by the Director of the BLSA. Assists in the implementation and data management of various ancillary projects of the BLSA, such as the BLSA Home Visit program and the BLSA IDEAL cohort. Troubleshoots any BLSA data management problems that may occur during the timeframe of the contract. Performs data management tasks for all data generated by studies performed within the CRB, and provide help to the incoming Computer Scientist to facilitate a smooth transition of management. Assist in training the new Computer Scientist, and perform other duties that may occur in the management and storage of data within the CRB program, coordinating these activities with the new Computer Scientist and under the supervisionof the NIA Clinical Director. To perform duties the government estimates that 24 hours a week will be required, distributed over three days. The contractor will be required to spend at least one day per week at the NIA Clinical Research Unit. The contract will be required until the new Computer Scientist is fully trained and informed of all relevant procedures. Only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements, 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1 (b) (1). The period of performance is for 8 months. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) is 541711 and the Standard Size is 23.0.
