Description
Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Puget Sound intends to procure Charter bus services. The contractor will provide sufficient quantities of safe, clean, and comfortable intercity passenger shuttle bus transportation of USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN personnel round-trip between Naval Station Everett and Naval Base Kitsap, Bremerton Annex, Washington State. The Contractor is responsible for all labor, fuel, management, supervision, vehicles, remedial/preventive maintenance, insurance, and liability for personal injury and property damage, and payment of passenger/vehicle charges levied and collected by the Washington State Ferry (WSF) system. A detailed Performance Work Statement shall be provided with the formal solicitation to be issued on or about 9 February 2009. The anticipated period of performance is 17 April 2009 through ?? November 2009 but is subject to change. In accordance with Department of Defense Instruction 4500.9, only carriers approved by Headquarters, Milit! ary Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) (formerly known as the Military Traffic Management Command (MTMC)) as evidenced by the list of MTMC-approved DoD bus carriers at http://www.sddc.army.mil/sddc/Content/Pub/504//cmcn504.pdf are eligible for award of a contract resulting from this solicitation. This requirement shall be issued using commercial, Simplified Acquisition procedures per FAR Part 12 and 13.5. The Government anticipates the award of a one-time Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract. The resulting contract will be a firm fixed priced contract. All amendments to this solicitation will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link www.neco.navy.mil. All offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website and to frequently monitor the site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to gary.cegalis@navy.mil will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ/amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFQ and associated amendments prior to th! e date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your quote nonresponsive and result in rejection of the same.
