Description
NASA/JSC has a requirement for DC SERVO MOTOR AMPLIFIERS.NASA/JSC intends to purchase the items from Advanced Motor Controls.The DC Servo Mortor Amplifers are being purchased for the development of a secondprototype rover with active suspension. The first prototype rover is configured with thesame motion controllers from Advanced Motor Controls. In order to maintain commonalityand compatibility between the two rovers it is recommended that identical motioncontrollers be purchsed for the second rover. Advanced Motor Controls produces a compactDC Servo Motor Amplifier, fitting within a 7"H x 3"W x 8"D volume. Advanced MotorControls also provides the following necessary features: a 400V DC operating voltage, aController Area Network Bus control interface, and an analog control interface. TheSpecifications can be viewed at: http://procurement.jsc.nasa.gov/NNJ09278858R/Dimensions.PDF The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.See Note26.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the Adrian Clayton at adrian.d.clayton@nasa.gov not later than 12:00p.m. local time on February 09, 2009. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluatedsolely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on acompetitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed efforton a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solelywithin the discretion of the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
