Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is set-aside for small business only. The NAICS Code for this synopsis/solicitation is 337211, Size Standard 500. Solicitation/Purchase Request number F2KBAB8324A002 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-23 effective 25 JAN 06. The Government intends to award one contract line item number (CLIN 0001) Statement of Work AFRL Directed Energy Directorate Headquarters Administrative Offices and Chief Scientist Office Furniture Bldg 497, Kirtland AFB NM Scope: The Air Force Research Laboratory Directed Energy Directorate seeks new furniture for headquarters' administrative staff workstations and Chief Scientist Office. Furniture for staff should be of quality that can withstand multiple users, hot/cold beverage containers, writing utensils, and other office supplies and equipment. All furniture should be of a professional quality to reflect a headquarters office environment. Chief Scientist private office will be executive level furniture. Existing furniture in the Chief Scientist Office is required to be moved and reassembled in the Deputy Director's office. All furniture, excluding the Chief Scientist Office, will be selected from the same furniture group to match and present a cohesive look. Furniture will need to compliment the existing waiting area furniture and take into consideration the oak trim and doors throughout the building. Furniture should be modern to reflect a leading edge research organization. Work areas include: 1) Chief Scientist Private Office - Executive Furniture 2) Deputy Scientist Private Office 3) Chief Scientist Admin 4) Military Exec 5) Deputy Director Admin 6) Director Administrative Area (wheel chair accessible and additional storage) 7) Directorate Administrative Area (additional storage) 8) Computer and Snack Area Private Office 9) Deputy Director Private Office - Furniture Placement (from Chief Scientist's Office) Selected contactor/vendor will be required to remove existing furniture into the building's lobby, remove and dispose of all trash including packaging materials, assemble all furniture and install all furniture in their proper places. In addition, it will be the sole responsibility of the contractor/vendor to measure all work areas to ensure selected furniture fits and is appropriate for the area prior to the ordering of furniture. For example layout must consider windows, doorways, walkways, fire codes, room size, equipment storage/usage, office supplies, etc. A building floor plan will be provided as a guide. Measurements are not exact on the floor plan. A site visit for interested vendors will take place on 03 February 09 at 1:00 p.m. Furniture installation to take place within 30-days of order placement and scheduled around mission requirements.
