The proposed contract action is for supplies andservices for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate withonly one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability torespond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intentis not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposalsreceived within forty five-days (thirty days if award is issued under anexisting basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of thissynopsis will be considered by the Government. A Determination by theGovernment not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses tothis notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.Information received will normally be considered solely for the purposeof determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The current required quantity is 17 ea. However, the required quantitymay change therefore contractor shall provide proposed prices to thefollowing ranges. If the quantity ranges provided in this solicitationdo not provide the best pricing option then the contractor shall submitquantity ranges that yield the best prices to the Government based theMin quantity of 3 ea and Max quantity of 17 ea. See Clause 52.207-4.Thequantity of this solicitation will be re-evaluated upon receipt of thecontractor's proposal. NEW MANUFACTURE SOLICITED, HOWEVER, BOTHGOVERNMENT AND COMMERCIAL SURPLUS WILL BE CONSIDERED IF IT MEETS THESTRICT CRITERIA IDENTIFIED IN THE FORTHCOMING SOLICITATION. TheGovernment reserves the right to make split-award(s) between newmanufacture and surplus, or only between surplus vendors if only surplusquotes received, or to make no award at all depending on the quality ofproposals or if in the best interest of the Government. The solicitation will identify the office where additional informationcan be obtained concerning qualification requirements as cited in eachindividual solicitation. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or themanufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award inaccordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation identifies theoffice where additional information can be obtained concerningqualification requirements as cited in each individual solicitation. See Note(s) 25 and 26.
