Description
This serves as a sources sought notice and market survey to locate qualified AE Design Firms possessing, at minimum SECRET CLEARANCE verifiable by submission of your firm’s assigned CAGE Code and by the Defense Security Service and hold a current Facility Clearance at the SECRET CLEARANCE Level. Project total range will be from $7 to 9 million which includes all design and construction costs associated with project. The AE Design Firm will perform in accordance to quality standards and requirements as defined under the GSA Design Excellence Program for the design excellence in public architecture for Architect-Engineer Bridging Design Services. Project scope requirements will include new construction and historic integration to serve the needs of tenant agencies. It will also incorporate cost-effective and innovative “green” strategies in order to ensure that GSA and/or tenants’ meet, or exceed, energy reduction goals and mandates. The scope of AE Bridging Design Services will include: architecture; civil, geotechnical, structural (to include seismic and blast design), mechanical and electrical engineering; historic restoration and rehabilitation including exterior envelope and interior spaces, and landscape preservation and adaptive use; communications; space planning and systems furniture integration; interior design; fire protection; site and landscape design; scheduling; cost engineering; value engineering; administrative coordination and integration of the various disciplines involved, and a requirement for Design Excellence peer reviews and concept approval submission and presentation to the PBS Commissioner. NOTE: THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) OR AN ANNOUNCEMENT OF A SOLICITATION AND NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE EXISTS AT THIS TIME. The Government is not requesting technical proposals and no contract will be awarded as a result of this sources sought notice. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Federal Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this synopsis and submittals will not be returned to the sender. Interested AE Design Firms are requested to submit a cover letter that should include the following: name and address of firm; name and telephone/fax numbers of contact person; assigned CAGE Code, TIN, DUNS, size of business; number of years in business along with a capability statement.
