Description
The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command in support of Naval SeaSystems Command, Program Executive Office, Littoral & Mine Warfare (PEOLMW), Maritime Surveillance Systems (MSS) Program Office PMS 485 intends toissue a sole source contract, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) andFAR 6.302-1, to Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems and Sensors (MS2) ofManassas, VA for the MSS Integrated Common Processor (ICP). The contractis anticipated to be for five (5) years (base plus options) and is to beawardedin the first quarter of fiscal year 2010. This effort includes, design,development, integration, test, installation, certification, and maintenanceforthe Fixed Surveillance Systems (FSS) and Surveillance Towed Array SensorSystem (SURTASS). Also required are hardware and spare procurements forSURTASS ships and IUSS shore sites. Specifically required are Engineering and Engineering Support Services fordesign of ICP software and hardware architecture upgrades for IUSS shore sitesand operational ship platforms. Required support also includes softwaredevelopment, software production, and configuration management. Alsorequired are comprehensive Integrated Logistics Support, ICP system life cyclemaintenance to prevent technical obsolescence, and hardware procurement forspecific IUSS shore sites and ship platforms. Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems and Sensors (MS2) of Manassas, VA due totheir requisite knowledge, technical expertise, and extensive facilities withIUSSconfiguration management modules is the only contractor that can design,integrate, test, produce and install the ICP system for PMS 485.
