Description
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to identify what innovative and cost-effective approaches exist to recycle nitrile gloves and vendors capable of supporting a nitrile glove recycling program for the TSA Office of Occupational Safety, Health and Environment (OSHE). Any vendor replying to this RFI shall provide a capabilities statement, not to exceed four (4) pages in length, in addition to a one (1) page cover letter, for a total submission not to exceed five (5) pages. Through a narrative description, the contractor’s capabilities statement must identify their innovative approach to recycle nitrile gloves and demonstrate their experience with recycling nitrile gloves and/or other nitrile products. The vendor’s proposed method shall also address the recycling process of the gloves, and state the costs the TSA would incur if a contract was established between the TSA and the vendor, which includes any processing and shipping costs. Lastly, the TSA is also interested in learning what incentives if any, the vendor has implemented with other clients to help increase the usage and viability of a nitrile rubber recycling program. Responses to this RFI must be submitted to the TSA via electronic mail to Sahar.Greeley@dhs.gov not later than 5:00 PM EST, 17 February 2008.
