- The United States Coast Guard Maintenance & Logistics Command, Atlantic intends to issue a Commercial Request for Quote (RFQ) for the Dockside repairs of USCGC LEGARE (WMEC-912) the acquisition will be solicited as a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The Coast Guard intends to conduct the procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS web page on or about January 20, 2009 at http://www.fbo.gov/. Please sign up for the Auto Notification service to receive e-mail from FEDBIZOPPS when an action is taken under this solicitation. The NAICS is 336611. The acquisition will be solicited as Total Small Business Set-Aside. The estimated value of this procurement is between $100,000 and $200,000.00. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The acquisition is home pier dockside repair the USCGC LEGARE (WMEC-912), A 270 foot “B” class medium endurance cutter. The homeport of the vessel is Portsmouth, VA 23703. The performance period is thirty nine (39) calendar days and is expected to begin on or about 6 Apr 2009 and end on or about15 May 2009. The scope of the acquisition is for the overhauling, renewing and repairing of various items aboard the USCGC LEGARE (WMEC-912) This work will include, but is not limited to: Perform Hydraulic Articulating Crane Maintenance, Perform Hydraulic articulating crane maintenance hoses, inspect and repair port and starboard fin stabilizer systems.. All welding and brazing shall be accomplished by trained welders, who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures. At the present time, the acquisition is expected to be issued as a small business set aside Solicitation and drawings will be issued on or about Jan 20, 2009. Questions may be referred to F.
