Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville and Jacksonville districts will host an industry forum 22 January 2009 to present information to contractors and subcontractors for work on U.S. Armed Forces Reserve Centers Military Construction Projects at Fort Buchanan, Ceiba, and Mayaguez, and a U.S. Army Reserve Center Military Construction Project at Caguas. These projects range from $10 million to $50 million each. The industry forum will be held in San Juan at the facilities of the Engineers and Surveyors Association (Colegio de Ingenieros y Agrimensores), Calle Antolin Nin in Hato Rey. Check-in begins at 8 a.m. EDT with the forum running from 9 a.m. to noon. An afternoon session will include information on small business contracts. The website http://www.lrl.usace.army.mil/lrlevents/default.asp?mycategory=128 contains detailed information about the forum. Online registration is required to attend this event. There are no fees to attend the forum. During the industry forum, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers representatives from the Louisville and Jacksonville districts will explain the solicitation procedure, contracting process, project requirements, timetable and other relevant information for parties interested in these projects. They will elaborate on bonding requirements for federal construction projects, subcontracting requirements, electronic registration, availability of documents and will answer questions from the audience.
