- This project consists of the interior modification of two (2) each 2008 Dodge Sprinter 3500 Cargo Vans for the U.S. Forest Service, North Zone Air Unit - Firewatch Program, Redding, CA, Shasta County, CA. The government will provide two each 2008,V6, one ton diesel Dodge Sprinter 3500 Cargo Vans for interior modification. The work shall include installation of insulated wall covering, headliner and flooring as well as the construction and installation of interior cabinetry, desks, partitions and shelving inside the 2008 vans with limited alterations to the body of the vehicles. Modifications to the body of the vehicles may be allowed to accommodate a pneumatic antenna, generator access or other equipment as authorized by the government. This requirement also includes the migration of government furnished property from two each 2000 Dodge Ram 3500 Vans to the 2008 Dodge Sprinter 3500 Cargo Vans. A list with a description of the equipment to be migrated from the 2000 vans to the 2008 vans and a list of government furnished property will be included as part of the solicitation package. All project work is to be completed at contractor's facility. NAICS CODE: 811121. SET-ASIDE: The small business size standard is 7.0 million. ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: between $25,000 and $100,000. ESTIMATED START WORK DATE IS March 2, 2009. The solicitation will be available for downloading from this website on or before January 23, 2009, with a due date of February 23, 2009, close of business. Photos and specifications of items to be installed will be provided. A rough sketch, not to scale of a design will also be available to prospective contractors. Prospective contractors are requested to self-register at this site to receive email notification of any postings concerning this project, such as amendments.
