Description
NAICS Code: 561421 In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 13.003, this RFQ is set-aside for small businesses. The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Superfund/RCRA Regional Procurement Operations Division, Emergency Response Service Center issues this RFQ forEPA's Emergency Response Team (ERT) in Edison, NJ. The requirement is for an answering service who would be required to handle all incoming emergency activation calls to the Emergency Response Team staff members during off business hours. Off business hours are weekdays 4:30pm EST to 8:00am EST, and twenty-four hours a day on Saturday, Sunday and Government holidays. During off hours, the answering service is to take a message and then contact the emergency person on call (listing of staff members and contact numbers to be given at time of award). The answering service will call the staff member's cell phone first. If no answer, then the telephone number provided is to be called. If there is still no answer, then the next person on the list provided is to be called. A copy of the 2009 ERT Phone Duty Roster will be provided upon award of this requirement. These lists are provided at the beginning of the calendar year, and whenever there is a change, an update is provided either by facsimile or email. The number of calls the answering service may have to handle varies, but usually one to five calls per week can be expected. The period of performance for this requirement is January 24, 2009 thru January 23, 2010. Due to the nature of these calls, missed calls are not tolerated and may result in a reduction in pay and/or termination of services. Interested vendors MUST be registered on the Central Contractor's Registration (CCR) website: www.ccr.gov. before a purchase order is awarded. Please submit your quote and at least three (3) references via email to: scott.elaine@epa.gov no later than 12noon EST, January 21, 2009. If there are any further questions/comments, please submit them in writing via email to scott.elaine@epa.gov. NO CALLS PLEASE.
