- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Special Communications Requirements (SCR) Division has a requirement for AM Transmitters. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared under the authority of FAR 12 and Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation has been attached. A copy can also be found on the NAVAIR Solicitation Website: http://www.navair.navy.mil/doing_business/open_solicitations/index.cfm. Solicitation N68335-09-T-0055 is issued as a Request for Quote. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334220, and the small size standard is 750 employees. This solicitation is issued as a 100% small business set-aside. The Government intends to purchase AM Transmitters (4) each at this time, with the option to purchase (5) within FY09. The required unit must be built to the design as shown in the attached specifications. The intent of these specifications is to obtain commercial AM Transmitters. The contractor shall extend to the Government full coverage of any standard commercial warranty normally offered in a similar commercial sale. Acceptance of the warranty does not waive the Government’s right under the inspection clause, nor does it limit the Government’s rights with regard to the other terms and conditions of this contract. In the event of a conflict, the terms and conditions of the contract shall take precedence over the warranty. This warranty period shall begin upon final acceptance of the applicable deliverable listed in the schedule. Products quoted must adhere to the minimum salient characteristics, as stated in the Specifications/SOW, to be fully responsive and satisfy the needs of the Government. The item being offered must qualify as a commercial item in accordance with the FAR definition. Please see the attached solicitation document for the required items and all applicable provisions and clauses. The contractor is required to return 1 signed copy of the solicitation filled out in it’s entirety. DPAS Rating is not applicable. Offers are due 5 February 2009 at 2:00 pm, to Lakehurst, Contracts Department Hwy. 547, Lakehurst, NJ 08733-5083, Attn: Karin Weinert
