Description
The purpose of this synopsis is to provide notification to industry that NASA/NSSCintends to release a draft Performance Work Statement (PWS) for the purpose ofcommunicating the preliminary requirements of the pending Agency Consolidated End-UserServices (ACES) acquisition. The anticipated release of this document is on or aboutJanuary 14, 2009. The Government intends to hold one-on-one meetings with industry subsequent to therelease of the draft PWS. The period scheduled to conduct these meetings is January21-23, 2009 and will be conducted at NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC), Cleveland, OH. Based on time and facility constraints, it is anticipated that only those firmsconsidering submitting an offer as a prime contractor and their team will be allowed toschedule an appointment. The total number of attendees per team is limited to 5. 1.5hours will be available for each potential proposing team.The primary purpose of these meetings is to allow industry to meet with Governmentpersonnel associated with the ACES acquisition and to allow industry the opportunity toprovide comments on the proposed draft PWS and pending solicitation, such as recommendedimprovements to the overall approach. Discussion of your companys history, corecompetencies, business objectives, etc. should be kept to a minimum.The feedback gained from these meetings will help ensure the draft Request for Proposal(RFP) is properly structured to accomplish the goals of the Information TechnologyInfrastructure Integration Program (I3P) and ACES. The anticipated release date for thedraft RFP is currently mid February 2009. Information from Government personnel regarding the ACES acquisition will be limited toinformation which is available in the previously released Request for Information (RFI)and the Draft PWS. To schedule an appointment for the one-on-one meetings during January 21-23, 2009,potential offerors are requested to contact Ms. Michelle Berdux atMichelle.L.Berdux@nasa.gov. The Government will notify your companys point of contact of thedate and time of your meeting, as well as directions and visitor center information.This acquisition is unrestricted regarding business size. The NAICS code and sizestandard are 541512 and $23.0 million, respectively. An ombudsman has been appointed.
