Description

The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia intends to issue an unrestricted solicitation for a quantity of 200 ea. Item is a Tamper, Vibrating type, Internal Combustion Engine Driven, NSN 3895-01-476-7954, procured to the manufacturers’ part numbers cited below. Drawings are NOT available. The solicitation includes a 50% quantity option in accordance with clauses 52.217-6 and 52.217-9I09. The required delivery is 60 days, FOB-Destination to DDSP New Cumberland, PA. Inspection and Acceptance is at Destination. Pursuant to FAR subpart 15.101-2, the subsequent award will be made using the “Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Source Selection Process.” Specifically, proposals received offering equal alternate products that fail to meet the salient specification requirements shown below will not receive any further consideration for award. The Buy American Act applies to this acquisition. Solicitation copies can be obtained on DIBBS (www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil) AFTER 1/15/09. *Subsequent to the solicitation closing date, the Government may conduct a Reverse Auction (RA) with offerors considered in the competitive range. *Note 13 applies. TAMPER,VIBRATING TYPE, INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE DRIVEN NSN: 3895-01-476-7954 TAMPER SHALL BE STONE MODEL XH670 OR WACKER MODEL BS50-2I OR -4S OR EQUAL. ENGINE SHALL BE AN AIR-COOLED 2 OR 4 CYCLE GASOLINE ENGINE EQUIPPED WITH A LOW-OIL SHUT-OFF. IMPACT SHOE SHALL BE 11" X 13". MACHINE SHALL OPERATE AT A MINIMUM OF 655 BLOWS PER MINUTE, 3300 POUND IMPACT FORCE, AND HAVE AN OPERATING WEIGHT NOT TO EXCEED 145 POUNDS, LESS FUEL.
