Description
The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), Office of Charge Card Management is seeking sources that offer innovative charge card technologies to participate in a “Beyond Plastics Conference,” in May 2009 in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. GSA’s Office of Charge Card Management operates the GSA SmartPay® program which provides charge card services to over 350 federal agencies/organizations world-wide. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the GSA SmartPay® charge cards are used around the world to support agency missions. From purchasing office supplies to fueling the government’s fleet vehicles, GSA SmartPay® cards are used in a variety of ways. These cards have become a necessity for the government to continue to function efficiently and for agencies to meet their unique missions. For these reasons, GSA’s Office of Charge Card Management is seeking innovative products and services that can be used to enhance, control and take the program well into the future of card technology. From biometrics to consulting services to contactless cards, the Office of Charge Card Management wants to know what currently exists and may exist in the future to help agencies manage their card programs, cardholders use the cards and prevent fraud, waste and abuse. The intent of this notice is to seek information from vendors who provide these types of products/services and may be interested in participating in the conference. The Government does not seek nor will it accept offers to perform work in conjunction with this request. Unsolicited offers will be rejected. This notice to vendors is provided to solicit participants for the Beyond Plastics Conference only. Specifically, the Government seeks informational materials from vendors who would like to provide training and/or exhibit at the Beyond Plastics Conference. The Government will not pay for these materials. Materials should provide as much detail as possible about the products and services your company provides and how the Government’s charge card program would benefit from these innovative products/services. The Government will review all materials submitted and invite vendors whose products/services best help the charge card program move forward in terms of technology and innovation. The Beyond Plastics Conference will be held in Washington, DC (exact date and location are pending) from 8:00am-4:00pm, and approximately 2,000 attendees are expected. All materials submitted in response to this Sources Sought will not be returned. Vendors invited to participate in the Beyond Plastics Conference will be notified and asked to provide preferences for training and/or exhibit space at the conference. Vendor participants will be responsible for all costs associated with the Beyond Plastics conference (e.g., audio visual/ exhibiting costs, etc.). Details will be provided to all invited participating vendors. The intent of the Beyond Plastics Conference is to provide training, information and education to the Agency/Organization Program Coordinators who manage their agency’s GSA SmartPay® government-wide charge card program(s). The GSA SmartPay® program consists of over 3 million purchase, travel, fleet and integrated charge cards with total program spend in FY08 at over $30 billion.
