- Description
- NASA/GRC has a requirement for a 32 channel GX-1 TEAC Data Recording System. Thebaseline crash tape system must have 32 channels, expandable up to 64 channels. Thesystem shall have adjustable/selectable input ranges and filtering for various inputtypes. The system must have adjustable base sampling rate, and be capable of multiplesimultaneous sampling rates. System configurations should be able to be stored. Datashall be writeable to 25 GB AIT data tape simultaneous with display on attached computerthrough a SCSI interface. System shall be able to reliably store and recover data inTAFFmat format. The system shall be remotely triggerable, and be capable of voice memorecording. The system must provide signal conditioning to accommodate several input types which areuser configurable and/or changeable based upon the needs of the current test entry in thePropulsion System Laboratory. This may be accomplished by the replacement of inputamplifier cards. The baseline configuration of the system shall be differential DC input with BNCconnections, capable of accepting up to 10 VDC inputs. In addition, several other typesof cards shall be available. Charge amplifier inputs, with 0.1 to 9999 pC/G chargesensitivity and 30kHz max frequency range. Frequency inputs with up to 20 kHz max ACcoupled. Thermocouple inputs for type J and K thermocouples. Microphone input with amaximum 130dB input range and a maximum frequency characteristic of 20 kHz.NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from Tritek Measurement Data Systems for they arethe exclusive distributor for TEAC Data Recorders in North America. This procurement isto augment an existing TEAC system that is in use at the Lab.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon January 20, 2009. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
