- This is not a request for either a quote or proposal. The intent of this notice is to identify potential offerors for the following upcoming requirement: semi-annual preventative maintenance services on 20 each Auma Electric multi-turn valves and 7 each additional filter table controller valves for the water treatment plant at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Examples of the potential duties under the proposed contract include the following: 1. Check, refill, and flush all lubricants as needed per manufacturer's specifications.2. Check all indicator lights and manual switches for proper operation and adjust as needed. Light bulbs shall be replaced as needed.3. Align and set all torque switches per manufacturer's specifications.4. Re-torque all bolts per manufacturer's specifications.5. Test and verify proper operation of all remote controls. Confirm all controls provide the proper operation of the valve and indicator it is paired with. Valve position indicators at the valve and remote location must be verified in both the open and closed positions.6. Test the analog signal control loop (4-20ma) for 7 each additional valves that continuously monitor valve condition and open and close as necessary, from the controllers on the filter table, for proper operation per manufacturer's specifications. If work is determined by the Contracting Officer to be beyond the scope of the firm fixed price (FFP) portion of this contract, it will be issued under the indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) schedule. Labor, material and equipment required for this work will be based on the Schedule of Indefinite Quantity Work Exhibit Line Items (ELINS). The final price will be negotiated by the parties. The Government intends to award a combination Firm Fixed Price/Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity type contract with a base period of one (1) year plus four (4) option years. The total term of the contract, including all options, will not exceed 60 months. In certain circumstances, the Government may require the Contractor to continue performance for an additional period up to six (6) months under the Option to Extend Services clause. In either case, the Government will not synopsize the options when exercised. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 811219, and the small business size standard is $7.0 million. Proposals will be evaluated based on price. Interested parties should, as soon as possible but no later than 19 January 2009, notify Rachel Ashton via email at rachel.a.ashton@navy.mil. As a part of the notification, interested parties should verify that they are able to meet all of the technical requirements outlined in this notice. Interested parties are also required to submit their DUNS number, CAGE code, and business classification e.g. large business, small business, 8(a) business, HUBZONE business, SDB, SDVOSB, etc. Notifications of interest must be submitted in writing via email; phone calls will not be accepted. Notifications that do not address all the required information will not be considered.
