Description
National Security Technologies is seeking sources to design a miniature microwave antenna system covering multiple frequencies. The following are target requirements: A goal of four feed line outputs for receivers at required frequency ranges of 2.45 GHz (100 MHz bandwidth), 5.8 GHz (100 MHz bandwidth), 9.3-10.8 GHz and 24.15 GHz (200 MHz bandwidth). Required circularly polarized (CP) far-field patterns with a goal of 60-degree half-power beam widths in the horizontal and vertical cross-sections of the radiation pattern main lobe at all frequency ranges. Circular polarization can be either right or left. Different polarizations may be used for different frequencies within the system to reduce the physical size of the design. That is, some frequencies can be left and some frequencies can be right. A goal of 8 to 10dBi gain for each frequency range with minimal total surface area (3 inch square or circle) and thickness (depth) of 0.5 inches. Antenna performance must be tolerant to objects in the near field, including a metal object 1 inch from the antenna. Interested Parties are to provide a capabilities statement not to exceed 5 pages. Estimated value of this effort is $50K.
