- Description
- This notice is issued to advise industry that the U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, Small Boat Product Line, intends to award a fixed-price Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) on a sole source basis to SAFE Boats International for the storage of the 25’ Collars installed on the Response Boat - Small (RBS) boats currently being manufactured by SAFE Boats under Coast Guard Headquarters Contract DTCG23-02-D-DNQ293. The ELC does not currently have adequate space to store multiple quantities of these Collars. This requirement shall require the Contractor to provide storage of Collars, not to exceed a quantity of 300 over a one year period, package, and ship Collars to designated destinations as required by the Coast Guard. This BPA is being issued not only to reduce freight costs for the Government but to also reduce the likeliness of damage during a multiple shipping process. The maximum order limitation for this BPA shall be $180,000.00. Given the RBS boats, and Collars, are currently being manufactured by SAFE Boats, it is the Government’s belief that issuance of this BPA is the most cost effective means of supporting the RBS fleet. Concerns having the expertise and required capabilities to provide such services are invited to submit complete information discussing the same within seven (7) calendar days from the day this notice is posted. The information submitted must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the information relative to the above requirements. Concerns that respond to this notice must fully demonstrate the capability to accomplish the above and are to supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate a bona fide capability to meet the requirements. Inquiries/information received after the established deadline shall NOT be considered for this acquisition. The submission of this data for review shall not impede award of this contract. The Government does NOT intend to pay for information solicited. This acquisition shall be set aside 100% for small business concerns only. This synopsis is issued pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 and HSAM 3006.302-1. Request f\or Quotation (RFQ) Number HSCG40-09-Q-60005 shall be available from download from FedBizOpps on or about January 5, 2008. The deadline for receipt of quotations shall be January 12, 2009.
