Description
The U.S. Army RDECOM-ARDEC (Picatinny Arsenal) is conducting a market survey tostudy the availability to conduct research and development, modeling and simulation and work with and train ARDEC personnel to develop Hybrid Projectiles and all associated systems, components, control mechanisms, and associated parts. The contractor should only be interested in developing prototype models for testing with ARDEC and not in any future production of this item. The contractor needs to have extensive proven expertise in prototyping and teaching of Unmanned launchable systems. ARDEC will have all rights to the products developed and tested and intellectual property. We are looking for experience in the instruction of how to research, design, prototype and test: unmanned air systems, gun launch capability, flight modeling and prediction, low cost guidance system, payload prediction, initial projectile design, conversion to hybrid state and control to target, micro motors, on-board cameras, real time visual, hardened signals and circle and return features. The expected end result is to have Hybrid projectiles from 40-120mm prototyped and tested to prove out the technology and for ARDEC personnel to gain expertise in all aforementioned areas. Expertise in advanced materials, power systems, motors that can be used for the hybrids or other projectiles developed by ARDEC is also needed. We are looking for a comprehensive package of all the technologies and the ability to teach/train ARDEC personnel. Please provide your socio-econmic status. The Point of Contact for this effort is Thomas Howes, e-mail address is thomas.howes1@us.army.mil. If there are any technical questions, please contact either Mr. Leon Manole @ (973) 724-6753 or Mr. Michael Natalicchio @(973)724-2077. This Market Survey is for planning purposes only and should not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Market Survey or otherwise pay for information solicited. The information you provide will only be used by the U.S. Army in developing its acquisition approach for future system research and development requirements.
