Description
Amendment Number 1: Clarification to ROV specifications (1) LED lights are acceptable if of sufficient intensity, instead of halogen light. Additionally, EPA requires variable intensity of those lights. (2) EPA requires a minimum of two lights on the ROV. (3) The color video camera must be tilting; the black and white camera may be fixed. (4) The maximum depth requirement is 300 m depth capability. (5) Training will take place in Milwaukee, WI (6) The ROV wrist rotation on the manipulator is required. The manipulator arm must articulate via a 1) jaw and 2) a wrist, thus 2 functions. The recovery line attachment would be something like a locking ring with line carried down in the manipulator. If your company cannot supply this, submit your commercial equivalent, and it will be evaluated. (7) The ROV should have a 200 meter sonar, however if your company cannot supply this, submit your commercial equivalent, and it will be evaluated. (8) Umbilical Length Clarification - EPA requires a maximum depth capability of 300 m. Although we only specify a 150 m umbilical, we want the ability, in the future, to go to 300 m by only purchasing a new umbilical. (9) Scanning Sonar Clarification – EPA requires a scanning sonar (not side scan) with a range of 200 m. Scanning Sonar means sonar that detects in an arc that includes the front and side of the path of the ROV.
