- Description
- The Materials Division (Code 60) of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement to extend the capabilities of an existing Solartron 1470E potentiostat to allow for simultaneous measurement of a capacitor and battery anode, cathode, and total cell impedance over time. NSWCCD intends to award a non-competitive firm-fixed-price purchase order to Advanced Measurement Technology, Inc. in Oak Ridge, TN using Simplified Acquisition Procedures to procure eight (8) Solartron 14558 Frequency Response Analyzers (FRA). The Solartron 14558 FRA is an 8-channel, 1 MHz system designed specifically for use with NSWCCD's existing potentiostat. Along with NSWCCD's existing software, the Solartron FRA 14558 will also provide the capability to integrate impedance testing over the required frequency range (10 uhz and 1 MHz) during standard charge/discharge cycle testing. In addition, the integration of the Solartron 14558 will fully automate long term! capacitor and battery testing which will improve the accuracy of the date obtained and result in considerable labor savings. All responsible sources submitting offers will be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties may forward their capability statements to the Government POC on or before 12:00 ON 26 December 2008 via email.
