- Description
- The proposed acquisition listed herein is exclusively set-aside as a Service–Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business requirement. The NAICS code is 541611 with a size standard of $6.5M million. The DHHS/AOS/PSC Division of Acquisition Management plans to issue a request for proposal (RFP). In order to mitigate risks resulting from an increase in cyber threats and to comply with federal legislation, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) developed an enterprise-wide information security and privacy program. This enterprise-wide information security and privacy program is known as the Secure One HHS Program and is a collaborative effort involving all Operating Divisions (OPDIVs) and Staff Divisions (STAFFDIVs) of the HHS. The primary purpose of the Secure One HHS Program support contract is to provide onsite support to the HHS Department Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) in performing the roles and responsibilities associated with the HHS Department Senior Agency Information Security Officer, as specified in the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA). FISMA requires the Department CISO to perform management and oversight of the Department’s Information Technology (IT) Security Program. The mission of the Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (OCISO) is to provide information security protections commensurate with the risk and magnitude of harm resulting from the unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction of information collected or maintained by or on behalf of the HHS and information systems used or operated by the HHS or HHS contractors or other organizations on behalf of the HHS. The anticipated period of performance is a basic period of one (1) year with four (4) (12 month) option periods. The solicitation will be issued approximately fifteen (15) days after issuance of this synopsis and will be made available electronically at this address http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Only electronic copies of the solicitation will be made available. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of the solicitation.
