- The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) is hereby soliciting information about potential sources for The Portland VA Medical Center's (PVAMC) Hazardous Medical Waste Pickup and Disposal requirements. PVAMC is hereby soliciting capability statements and information from potential sources for services to include removal, transport and destruction with 'cradle to grave' tracking of all hazardous waste. The requirement includes compliance with all local, state, and federal laws governing the transport and destruction of biological and hazardous waste, as well as VA policies and regulations. PVAMC is seeking capabilities from all potential sources for the purpose of determining the appropriate level of competition. This requirement's NAICS code is 562112. Responses must include the following: name and address of firm, primary POC and telephone number, size of business (Government size standard for this procurement is $12.5 Million Gross Revenue); whether they are Large, Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a), Woman-owned, Service Disabled Veteran, Veteran, HUBZone, business, or Historically Black Colleges and Universities; number of years in business; affiliate information: parent company, joint venture partners, potential teaming partners. Specific examples of relevant experience, including a brief description and POC email address and phone number are recommended. This sources sought synopsis is for informational and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for any information solicited. Since this is a sources sought announcement, no evaluation letters and/or results will be issued to the respondents. You are requested to provide electronic responses (5-page maximum including attachments) via e-mail to the primary Point of Contact (POC) for this requirement. Your response is required by December 10, 2008. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. If a solicitation is released it will be synopsized in FedBizOpps. It is the potential offeror's responsibility to monitor these sites for the release of any solicitation or synopsis. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. The Government reserves the right to consider a small business, SDVOSB, VOSB or 8(a) set-aside based on responses hereto. All responses shall be submitted to Dennis Riches no later than December 10, 2008
