- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to identify Small Businsesses, U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Certified 8(a), SDVOSB or HUBZone small business firms capable of providing all labor, material, equipment, transportation and supervision required to expand building at USCG MSRT Chesapeake, VA. Work includes but is not limited to the construction of approx. 700 sf to Building 238 to include electrical, fire suppression, compressed air and mechanical work. Demo portions of existing pavement and portions of existing structure. Provide new sidewalk and pavement. Provide new CMU wall and steel roof structure. Provide new roofing, interior finishes and doors. Install new heating and ventilation systems. Provide new lighting, receptacles and connections for mechanical equipment. Provide new fire alarm devices and connect to existing panel.. The NAICS for this project is 236220 with a Small Business Size Standard of $33.5M. Vendors interested in performing this requirement are invited to provide the following information to USCG CEU Cleveland (Attn: Ms. Komer) no later than COB 12/03/08. The information shall be submitted via email to the Contracting Officer at pamela.m.komer@uscg.mil. When responding by email, please indicate “Sources Sought 09-3WQ103” in the subject line. Responses shall include the following information: Company Name, Address, Point of Contact, Phone Number and Email Address; Business Size (i.e. Disadvantaged Status, 8(A) status, HUBZone, SDVOSB, WO, Small or Large etc). Indicate the firms experience in “bridge construction” (be specific – type of construction, location, value, were you the prime or sub…). DO NOT SEND BUSINESS INFO EXCEPT FOR WHAT IS REQUESTED. NO TELEPHONE, WRITTEN NOTIFICATIONS OR REQUESTS FOR SOLICITATIONS OR POSTING STATUS will be honored. When available, the resultant pre-solicitation notice and solicitation will be posted at this website. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result from a response to this Sources Sought or Government use of any information provided. The Government Reserves the right to consider a small business, 8(A), or any other set aside arrangement as deemed appropriate for this procurement.
