Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC), Quantico, VA, is issuing this Synopsis to produce and deliver a hydraulic subsystem to be used as part of the M9 Armored Combat Earthmover (ACE) program. It also includes program management, technical support (which includes integration support and verification testing support), logistics support, training, and technical documentation associated with the hydraulic subsystem. MCSC anticipates awarding a five (5) year Firm-Fixed Priced Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a minimum ordering quantity of 4 Kits and maximum ordering quantity of 135 Kits. MCSC anticipates release of the Request For Proposal (RFP) within 60 days from release of this synopsis with proposals due 45 days thereafter. The M9 ACE program is a United States Marine Corps (USMC) initiative managed by the Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Ground Transportation and Engineer Systems (GTES), Program Manager, Engineer Systems (! PM ES). The M9 ACE program will upgrade the M9 ACE by the addition of an upgrade kit to the existing M9 ACE platform, improving vehicle performance, reliability, availability and maintainability. Improvements to the M9 ACE hydraulic subsystem are included as part of the upgrade kit. Attached to this synopsis are a DRAFT Statement of Work and a DRAFT Performance Specification. The Government reserves the right to modify the DRAFT documents prior to release of the RFP. These DRAFT documents are being provided to industry to allow for open communication between the Government and industry to encourage receipt of the best proposed solution to the requirement. The Government is not responsible for any cost incurred by industry in responding to this notice.
